Electrical Design Engineer/ Permanent/ Norwich- salary up to £50k per annum depending on experience.
Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients innovative design and engineering manufacturing site based in Norwich.
In this exciting role Electrical Design Engineer will: design and develop motors and generators to meet project-specific requirements as well as enhance and expand the current range of high-voltage motors and generators to support business growth and entry into new markets.
Key Responsibilities of Electrical Design Engineer:
- Perform detailed design and analysis using in-house software, ensuring product quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise designs and support Manufacturing and Testing departments.
- Apply value engineering and design for manufacture principles to enhance products.
- Provide technical support for Sales and address customer needs, including occasional travel.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues with installed products.
- Develop and refine design rules, software, and processes.
Requirements of Electrical Design Engineer:
- Essential:Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in electrical equipment design, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with manufacturing environments.
- Desirable:Experience with programming (e.g., VB.NET) and 2D CAD software.
Skills of Electrical Design Engineer:
- Highly motivated and proactive with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
In return our client is offering a competitive salary dependant on experience up to £50K per annum.
